‘How It Started vs How It’s Going’: Preity Zinta In Awe Of Yuzvendra Chahal After PBKS vs KKR IPL 2025 Game, Recalls Meeting Him First Time

Punjab Kings’ co-owner Preity Zinta penned a heartwarming note for spinner Yuzvendra Chahal following his exploits in the IPL 2025 game against the Kolkata Knight Riders on Tuesday in Mullanpur. The Bollywood actress recalled meeting Chahal for the first time in 2009 and stated how glad she is now to have him in their side.

Chahal, who was bought by the franchise for ₹18 crore, had been disappointing in IPL 2025 until the match against the Knight Riders on Tuesday in Mullanpur. Left with only 111 runs to defend, the Haryana-born bowler bowled an outstanding spell, taking figures of 4-0-28-4 as the Punjab Kings successfully defended the lowest total in IPL history.

Taking to her official Instagram account, Preity wrote:

“How it started vs how it’s going I met Yuzi during the Kings Cup in 2009 in Chandigarh. I was new to cricket & he was a young under 19 cricketer. Over the years I saw him flourish & became a force to reckon with in the cricket world. I loved his competitive attitude & always wanted him in our team but somehow the stars never aligned …… until now !”
