Assam: Dibrugarh University student jumps from hostel building to rescue himself from ragging
GUWAHATI, NOV 27: A student of Dibrugarh University, residing at PNGB Hostel has become a victim of alleged ragging by seniors in hostel.
The victim student indentified as Anand Sharma, resident of Amguri.
According to reports, the victim jumped from two storied hostel building to rescue himself.
The incident took place in the hostel last night.
Critically injured Anand, was admitted in ICU at Aditya Hospital, Dibrugarh.His family members are going to lodge FIR.
“We are enquiring the matter and are going to take strict action against the culprits,” said Dr Jiten Hazarika, Vice Chancellor, Dibrugarh University.
Earlier, many incidents of rangging has been reported from Dibrugarh University.
