Assam: 7 died in two separate road accident
GUWAHATI, NOV 22: In a tragic incident, seven people were killed on a two separate road accidents in Assam on Tuesday.
According to reports, five people died in an accident in Nagaon district while two were killed in Sonitpur district.
Both the road fatalities were reported on Monday.
According to police, five people were killed in Nagaon at Koliabor under Uluwoni police station when their car collided head-on with a speeding truck on National Highway 37.
A police official said those who were in the car, which was on the way to Sonitpur from Bokakhat in Golaghat, were travelling for attending a wedding.
“All five persons in the car were killed on the spot. We have seized the truck, but the driver and the handyman managed to escape before we reached the spot,” he said
In Sonitpur, two people were killed as a speeding truck hit their motorcycle in Bihaguri near Tezpur.
