Guwahati: A total of 90 G-20 delegates from different countries arrived in Dibrugarh on Thursday by flight. The delegates were given warm welcome at Mohanbari Airport, Dibrugarh by traditional phulam gamucha and dances by cultural troops.

Dibrugarh Deputy Commissioner Biswajit Pegu, superintendent of police Shwetank Mishra and other officials of Dibrugarh district administration were present at the Airport for welcoming the G-20 guests.

The delegates visited three tea gardens namy Manohari tea estate, Ethelelwold tea estate and Mancotta tea estate. On Friday, the 103 delegates will participate in the G20 summit to be held at Manohari tea estate Banquet hall in Dibrugarh.

There are 20 members in the group: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, South Korea, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the European Union.

Building a sustainable and circular bio-economy to be discussed at G20 RIIG conference on Friday. The G20 RIIG conference is coordinated by the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India.

On 24th March, the inaugural session (session -I) will begin at 08:45 hrs with the opening remark by India Chair (Dr S. Chandrasekhar, Secretary, Department of Science & Technology).
