Assam: Guwahati- Dibrugarh Indigo flight return from runway before taking off due to technical reasons
Guwahati: An Indigo-flight (6E2652) bound for Dibrugarh returned from runway just before taking off from Guwahati due to technical reasons.
State ministers Ranjit Das, Bimal Borah, MLA Naba Doley, State Housing Board Vice Chairman, Subhas Dutta, Congress leader Ramen Barthakur are in the flight.
As per information, the flight returned back from the runway just before take off due to defect in one of the engine.
Repairing is going on at Guwahati airport.
Passengers are still on board.
Last month, a Dibrugarh-bound IndiGo flight was diverted to Guwahati’s Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International after the pilot of the plane announced snag in engine of the aircraft.
Over 150 passengers were travelling on the flight, including Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Rameshwar Teli and two BJP MLAs Prashant Phukan and Terash Gowala.
Later, Union minister Rameswar Teli reported this to the aviation minister.
