Assam: Man killed in road mishap in Dibrugarh
GUWAHATI, NOV 27: A person was killed in a road accident at Laluka Gaon area under Amolapatty police outpost in Assam’s Dibrugarh on Sunday.
The deceased have been identified as- Bhaskar Das of Natun Gaon, Dibrugarh.
According to eyewitness, Bhaskar was riding motorcycle bearing registration no (AS 06 AA 5956) was mowed down by a dumper registration no (AS 06 BC 4733) at Laluka Goan area.
The person died on the spot after he was hit by the dumper.
“We have seized the dumper and started investigation into the matter. Due to overspending the accident happened,” said a police official.
On Saturday, a man identified as Rakesh Kumar Sinha was mowed down by a passenger train when he was crossing railway track with his Scotty in Dibrugarh.
He was working as a teacher at Jalan Balika Vidyalaya in Dibrugarh.
According to reports, road accidents has been rising in Assam and in recent times many road accidents cases has been reported from different areas of the state.
