Dibrugarh Mahila Congress stage protest against rising price of LPG cylinder
DIBRUGARH, MAR 4: The Dibrugarh Mahila Congress Committee on Saturday staged protest against rising price of cooking gas at Thana Chariali in Dibrugarh. The protesters raised slogan against the BJP government for failing to curb the price rise of essential commodities.
“The price of LPG gas cylinder hiked Rs 50. Earlier the price of LPG cylinder cost Rs 1052 now it will cost over 1200. How can we run our family. Due to skyrocketing price rise of essential commodities we are facing challenges to run our family,” said a protester.
“During Congress rule LPG cylinder cost Rs 450, then BJP protested against the Congress government for rising price of the cylinder. The BJP leaders said that if our government came to power we would control the price rise. The BJP government came to power with false promises. If they failed to run the country then they should give the power to us, we will show them how to run a country. We woman are handling the kitchen, we can handle the country also,” said a member of Dibrugarh Congress.
