MCD Election Result 2022: Bobby Kinner, the AAP’s only transgender candidate, wins the civic polls from Sultanpuri A ward
Bobby Kinnar, the only transgender candidate in the Delhi MCD elections in 2022, won from her district. She is running for the AAP in Sultanpur A Ward 43. She defeated over her closest BJP and Congress opponents. Bobi won by a margin of 6,714 votes over Congress candidate Varuna Dhaka.
For the first time, MCD will have a member of the transgender community. This has never happened before, that any political party has given a ticket to a candidate from the Kinnar community.
“I want to dedicate my victory to the people who worked so hard for me. I would like to thank everyone. Now I just have to work for development in my area,” she told news agency ANI after the victory.
