Arshdeep Singh, Abhishek Sharma Spotted Relishing Rajkot’s Street Food After Punjab Beat Haryana In Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy Match; Video

Team India cricketers and were recently spotted enjoying street food in Rajkot. Videos of the same surfaced online as both players took some time out from their busy cricket schedule. Arshdeep and Abhishek are currently representing Punjab team in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT).

Punjab beat Haryana in SMAT

Punjab beat Haryana by 7 runs in the SMAT match played in Rajkot recently. While ARshdeep finished with figures of 1/47, Abhishek SHarma scored 21 runs of 17 balls while batting. Anmolpreet singh top scored for Punjab with 60 runs, while Ramandeep Singh scored unbeaten 39 runs of just 11 balls.

After posting 196/6 Punjab found it difficult to stop Haryana’s run chase powered by Rohit Rayadu’s 56 runs and Chama Milind’s 55 runs. It was Naman Dhir who stole the show in the match with five wicket haul. Punjab is now set to face Rajasthan in the next encounter.

Arshdeep Singh & Abshiek Sharma retained by franchises during IPL 2025 mega auction

Arshdeep Singh was retained by Punjab Kings (PBKS) for Rs 18 crore during the IPL mega auction held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Initially picked up by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for Rs 15.75 crore, Punjab Kings utilised its Right to Match (RTM) option to secure him. SRH then raised its bid to Rs 18 crore, which PBKS matched to retain the left-arm pacer.

Abhishek Sharma was retained by Sunrisers Hyderabad for 14 crore ahead of IPL 2025 Auction. The left-handed batter had an impressive IPL 2024 scoring a total of 484 runs at a phenomenal strike rate of 204.21 and establishing himself as a critical asset for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)
