Holi 2025: Aqualine Metro To Remain Operational In Mumbai; Check Timings Before Planning Your Travel

Mumbai’s public transportation services have announced modified schedules for Friday, March 14, 2025, in anticipation of reduced commuter traffic during the Holi festival celebrations.

Mumbai Metro 3 in a social media post on Thursday announced, “On the account of Dhulivandan, Aqualine passenger services will be operational from 8:30 am to 10:30 pm on 14th March. Passengers are requested to kindly take note of the revised schedule and plan the journey accordingly.”

The Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) bus service will operate fewer buses on routes throughout the city due to expected lower commuter numbers during the festival.

Similarly, local train services are expected to run on a reduced schedule compared to regular weekdays, as the Maharashtra government has declared a public holiday for Holi.

The transportation adjustments come as most offices, educational institutions, and commercial establishments across Mumbai will remain closed for the festival, significantly reducing the usual weekday commuter traffic. Government offices, banks, and the stock market will also remain shut for the holiday.
