Maharashtra’s COVID-19 tally rises to 139010 with 6531 fatalities
The coronavirus cases rose by 14933 on Tuesday (June 23, 2020) taking the total number of cases in India to 4,40,215, while the death toll rose to 14,011 with the 312 new fatalities, according to the Union Health Ministry data on COVID-19 .
India’s total tally of COVID-19 cases rose to 456183 with 14476 deaths, 258684 cured cases on Wednesday with the highest spike recorded in 24 hours. Atleast 15968 new COVID-19 cases and 465 fatalities were reported while the recovery rate is at 56.70%, as per the Union Health Ministry.
Meanwhile, ICMR conducted a whopping 2.15 lakh tests on June 23. The total number of tests conducted so far is 73,52,911.
The number of cases touched 91 lakh globally with 4.74 fatalities. The US remains the worst-hit country followed by Brazil, Russia and India at the fourth, as per Johns Hopkins University data.
