Fort City Brewing and BYG BREWSKI Brewing Company Collaborate on Limited- Edition Cold IPA

New Delhi [India], April 10: Two of India’s most awarded microbreweries—Fort City Brewing (Delhi) and BYG BREWSKI Brewing Co. (Bengaluru)—have joined forces to release a limited-edition Cold IPA, launching in both cities this April.
The collaboration was sparked by their recent wins at the 30 Best Bars Awards 2024, where Byg Brewski Brewing Company, Hennur Bangalore won People’s Choice Microbrewery or Taproom 2024 and Fort City Brewing, New Delhi was awarded Best Microbrewery or Taproom 2024. Public demand for a collaboration followed—prompting the breweries to answer with this Cold IPA.
About the Beer
The Cold IPA style is a modern hybrid that offers the crispness of a lager with the bold aroma and bitterness of an IPA.
- Hops: Motueka & Galaxy (NZ Hops)
- Malt: Castle Malting (Belgium)
- Yeast: E30 by Fermentis for high attenuation and dryness
- ABV: 6.5%
- IBU: 40
“This beer is clean, hoppy, and brewed for drinkability—it reflects both our brewing philosophies,” said Gautham Gandhi, Co-founder of Fort City Brewing.
“Our customers love bold, hop-forward beers. We knew a Cold IPA would resonate,” added Ajay Gowda, Director, BYG BREWSKI Brewing Co.
“It’s lovely to see brands go beyond the awards night and give back to the consumer and the industry in such a creative way—a co-created brew that can be enjoyed at both outlets located at opposite ends of the country. This is the first such cross-collaboration stemming from our awards in the past five years, and we’re excited to see more players take the lead in the future.” said Vikram Achanta, 30 Best Bars.
