This government has bulldozed many things, but also have been stopped from bulldozing so many things’ : Shri Kumar Ketkar Member of Parliament Congress

New Delhi,   All India Bank Employees’ Association invited Shri Kumar Ketkar Member of Parliament Congress, to address the attendees at the AIBEA’s ongoing National Seminar series on the theme People’s Money for People’s Welfare. The speaker highlighted the ease with which the current government is looking at denationalizing banks as if it is just an act.

“They definitely bulldozed abrogation and abolition of article 370, they bulldozed agriculture sector against the interest of the farmers and they are yet not able to implement the agricultural laws, and they haven’t been able to implement the abolition of article 370. Finally, they were forced to discuss with the party in Jammu & Kashmir on how to go ahead despite the completely abrogated article 370,” said Shri Kumar Ketkar Member of Parliament Congress.

Shri Ketkar reiterated the significance of social movements and their role against non-beneficial policies by the government.

Highlighting the current scenario he said, “ middle class is helping PM Modi after getting benefits from left-wing.”

Recalling the times of Nehru and Indira Gandhi he exclaimed, “ Technical education during Nehru Ji, and space research during Indira Gandhi, all this prosperity could not have come to the middle class without nationalised banks.”

The speaker drew attention to the scenario wherein the New Rich NRI is not only the funder of the Hindutva movement but also the promoter of Hindutva Movement. He pinpointed Modi for creating a new set of support systems for these NRIs in the abroad countries.

“The epicentre of the progress of India has been bank nationalisation. If this government succeed in the privatisation of the banks then it will be an attack on the movement which Nehru ji and Indra Gandhi initiated,” added Shri Ketkar.

He expressed concern over the future of bank employees post the anticipated privatization of the banks. He further called bank nationalisation an ‘attack on the sovereign economy policy of the country’.

The speaker concluded by urging AIBEA to bring not only the bank employees but all the trade unions like insurance under one umbrella to fight against the privatisation.

Public Sectors will be with the people during hard times, Private Banks will be there only during boom – Prof. Raja Sethu Durai

New Delhi, All India Bank Employees’ Association invited Dr. Prof. Raja Sethu Durai University of Hyderabad, to add his views on the AIBEA’s ongoing National Seminar series and share his perspective on the Future of Banking –economic perspective, under the theme People’s Money for People’s Welfare.

The speaker threw light on the very reason of establishing the foundation of banking and the fact that it was built for people. “The Bank was created to offer loans to poor, miserable or needy persons,” said Dr. Prof. Raja Sethu Durai. Sustainable banks start by determining basic human needs to be met and then deliver financial services which meet those needs.

Elaborating on the success of public sector banks, “in the short run, the credit channel of monitory transmission was found to be stronger in respect to public sector banks than that of private sector bank,” he added.

He discussed how none of the Indian banks is on the list of top 10 global banks due to lack of government support. While the government-operated banks in China file the best patents in the Fintech category.

Furthermore, he exposed various common myths related to the industry like

  • The Business of Government is not to run the Business
  • The free market develops technology and innovation
  • The role of government is limited to national security & Law and Order

“30% of patents file in the US are funded by the government so the role of government in technology and innovation is very important,” he concluded.

In the national seminar series, AIBEA has showcased the views and perspectives of renowned industry people. The seminar has unfolded facts and figures backing AIBEA’s fight against the privatisation of the banking sector.

For 3.5 million Premature Babies, Life-Saving 100% Human Milk-based Nutrition by NeoLacta

New Delhi: 19 August 2021

With the largest number of premature babies – approx. 3.5 million per year, born in India, the need of the hour is to promote human milk-based nutrition both, in the form of breastfeeding or using pasteurised donor milk.

Lactation Consultant, Dr. Geetika Gangwani informs, “Usually, health complications or premature deliveries are the primary reasons why some mothers may be unable to breastfeed their baby or may have problems initiating and continuing breastfeeding.”

Dr. Vikram Reddy, Chief Scientific Officer of NeoLacta Lifesciences explains “Numerous clinical trials have proven the value of donor milk and human milk-derived products in saving lives of premature babies, low birth weight babies, and as a support for low/non-lactating mothers. WHO endorses this need through its recommendation for using pasteurised donor milk as an alternate, in the absence of the breastfeeding.

Dr. Vikram informs that Neolacta Lifesciences offer two variants of standardized donor human milk – the first in frozen liquid and the other comes in powder sachets. Both products ensure minimum calorific density of 70 Kcal / 100 ml. The third range of products includes Mother’s milk fortifier, which acts as a supplement to breast milk helping meet protein and energy deficits in newborns.

Dr. Vikram stressed on the fact that society need to work towards mindsets that are not open to the idea of donating or receiving human milk. However, the team at Neolacta Lifesciences has been working holistically over the past 5 years to overcome this perception. We have always maintained transparency and kept key stakeholders from the medical fraternity, lactation professionals and parent community involved in every step of the way. Our scientific team constantly engages with clinicians across India for research studies that help improve health outcomes and encourage evidence-based practices towards neonatal care in India.”

Currently, the 100% human milk-based nutritional solutions from NeoLacta Lifesciences are available at over 200 super-specialty hospitals throughout the country and will soon be available in e-pharmacies as well. While the donor human milk solutions can be used on a standalone basis, the fortifiers are to be used in combination with human milk. This ensures the baby remains on an exclusive human milk diet without the need to introduce bovine milk-based products in its diet.

Cadbury Celebrations Strengthens the Sibling Bond With #MyFirstRakhi, Adds A Touch of Love and Hope

INDIA– Cadbury Celebrations, the country’s much-loved chocolate gifting brand, recently announced the launch of a very special campaign for this year’s Raksha Bandhan – #MyFirstRakhi.

Commenting on the campaign, Anil Viswanathan, Senior Director – Marketing, Mondelez India, said, “For years now Mondelez India has been an innate part of festivals and occasions like Raksha Bandhan, and has redefined the joy of gifting and shared moments with Cadbury Celebrations. Through #MyFirstRakhi, we wanted to make a meaningful difference to the lives of these kids who don’t get to experience festivals like we do. To celebrate Rakhi you need to feel the touch of its threads and hence we provided a solution to give them a sense of touch. With the focus on spreading happiness and banking on the proposition of ‘Kuch Achha Ho Jaaye, Kuch Meetha Ho Jaaye’, the campaign promises a new start for children who have missed experiencing the joy of celebrating this festival in its truest sense.”

Every year siblings in India celebrate Raksha Bandhan following the traditional rituals of the sisters tying Rakhi, a thread symbolizing the bond they share, and the brothers in return gifting a promise to protect her and that bond all their life. This moment of joy, however, is deeply missed by many children with physical disability in the country. Often these children opt for prosthetic hands to help them build their lives. The journey for them is a long one where, as the child grows up, the prosthetic arms recommended change basis various factors. They typically start with basic prosthetic arms which lack the sense of touch, a very important sensation in their formative years. To make a meaningful difference to the lives of these children and help them celebrate this bond in the most fulfilling way possible, Cadbury Celebrations has partnered with Social Hardware, an organization working towards providing assistive devices and rehabilitation services to underserved communities to develop a unique senor based prosthetic arm that will let children feel the sense of touch, an integral part of growing up. The brand has pledged to provide these low-cost sensor-based hands to many children across the country by continuing to partner with Social Hardware in the coming year. For people looking at availing this solution at an affordable price, the details of the process and the organizations can be accessed on – www.cadburycelebrationsmyfirstrakhi.com.

MyFirstRakhi campaign will be led with a digital film and further amplified through social activations along with innovative OOH advertising.

Building on the same sentiment is the campaign film that beautifully captures the story of a sister and her physically disabled older brother, Shubham who yearns to experience the feeling of a Rakhi tied around his wrist. The feeling is turned around as the brother’s wish is fulfilled with a low-cost sensor enabled prosthetic hand, advised by his doctor. The story sees a sweet end as the dearest older brother spiritedly prepares for the festival, excited to experience his first Rakhi in the most real way possible.

Commenting on the campaign, Sukesh Nayak, Chief Creative Officer – Ogilvy India, said, “Raksha Bandhan is a very special festival celebrated across the country. With #MyFirstRakhi we are helping ensure that every brother who has so far missed experiencing the joy of celebrating this festival, can now feel the bonds of this beautiful relationship on his hand.”
