Meet Mr. Raj Pyla, Chairman and Managing Director, Ben Franklin

Mr. Raj Pyla along with Mr. Santosh Rapeti, and Ms. Sridevi Singaram, started EyeGear Optics India Pvt Ltd and the Ben Franklin brand in 2008; the Eyegear B2B Platform in 2021.

Mr. Pyla, very early in his career, understood the need gap in the optical industry where there was a lack of accessibility to good quality, stylish and affordable eyewear, especially in the Tier II and Tier III cities. His vision is to provide high quality, fashionable and affordable eyewear to customers across age groups and socio-economics strata across India.

Mr. Raj Pyla holds an engineering degree from JNTU Anantapur. He has worked in the UK for over 10 years as an IT Consultant and streamlined businesses by providing ERP systems across industries in companies like Nortel Networks, Xerox and Schroders. Today, he is the Chairman & Managing Director of the company; is responsible for its overall Organizational Development, Growth and Profitability and an Industry Leader in the eyewear retail business.

When not working, Mr. Raj is an avid reader, a bird watcher, a sports enthusiast and enjoys badminton and tennis.
