Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor was brutally trolled for her walk at the Lakme Fashion Week on Saturday. Netizens felt that the actress seemed to be in a rush to reach somewhere and her walk has once again ignited the debate of should actors be replacing actual models.
Janhvi hit the ramp on Saturday flaunting her curves in AFEW by Rahul Mishra couture. She dazzled in a shimmery black bodycon gown with a risqué thigh-high slit and she paired with matching stilettos. While the actress exuded confidence and oomph with her expressions, she failed to impress the internet fashion police with her walk.
“This is an insult to the real models,” a user wrote on a video of Janhvi’s ramp walk on Instagram, while another questioned, “Bouncing around a runaway is a new thing for the nepos?” “She really thought she did something with that expression and haughty walk. Why is she walking like she’s going to miss her train or flight?” a netizen commented.
This is not the first time that Janhvi has been called out for her walk on the ramp. However, the last time she was criticised for it, netizens felt that she was too slow, to the extent that it looked like she was “sleep walking”. It happened in June last year when the actress walked the ramp for designer Rahul Mishra at the Paris Haute Couture Week.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Janhvi is currently juggling the shoots of two films — Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari and Param Sundari. The actress will reunite with her Bawaal co-star Varun Dhawan in Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, and the film also stars Sanya Malhotra and Rohit Saraf in key roles. The film is set to hit the silver screens in December this year.
As for Param Sundari, it will be the first time that Janhvi will share the screen with Sidharth Malhotra. The cross-cultural love story seems to be set in Kerala as the actors were spotted multiple times in the cities of Kerala, shooting for the film. It will reportedly release in July 2025.
