Surat, Gujarat — The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) has launched SBC 3.0 – Textile Chapter exclusively for entrepreneurs associated with the textile industry.
SGCCI president Nikhil Madrasi said that the aim of SBC 3.0 – Textile Chapter is to create a trusted network for the textile industry, where members get new business connections, professional guidance, industry insights and a platform to learn. This chapter will also guide textile entrepreneurs in areas like technology, marketing, new market exploration and skill development. This forum has been started as a separate chapter for textile professionals, in which weavers, yarn dealers, processors, fabric and garment manufacturers as well as traders are joining.
Ashok Jirawala, vice president of SGCCI informed the entrepreneurs about the importance of networking in the textile industry. He said that in today’s competitive era, strong networking is necessary to move forward in the textile industry. A strong network, especially in the textile sector, enables entry into new markets, business opportunities can grow and business development can be further accelerated through mutual cooperation and exchange of information between industrialists.
While SBC (SGCCI Business Connect) is an initiative of the Chamber itself, the main objective of SBC 3.0 – Textile Chapter is to provide active networking and business cooperation between entrepreneurs and traders in various sectors of textiles. SGCCI has been working for the development of various industries and businesses in Surat and the entire South Gujarat for the last 85 years and SBC 3.0 – Textile Chapter will also work in the same direction to provide new business opportunities to textile entrepreneurs. This new initiative will take Surat’s textile industry from local to global level and guide industrialists to be competitive in the global market.
