Assam: Headless body of woman recovered near AMCH gate in Dibrugarh
DIBRUGARH: A headless body of a unidentified woman was recovered from backside of a saloon near AMCH gate in Dibrugarh on Thursday.
Meanwhile, police reached the spot and started investigation.
The locals of the area spotted the headless body on Thursday morning and immediately informed the police about the incident.
The body was sent for post-mortem at AMCH.
“We have got a bad smell after opening our stalls. We immediately checked from where the smell was coming. When we checked, we found a headless body of a woman lying on the backside of a saloon at AMCH gate. The head was lying on the other side of the body. We have not seen such incident earlier,” said local stall owner.
Meanwhile, police have collected the samples and sent the body for post-mortem but the body was not claimed by anyone till filing the report.
“We can’t say much about this case. We suspected it as murder. The body has not identified yet. We have started our investigation,” said a police official.
