Assam: One drowns in river Brahmaputra at Dibrugarh
GUWAHATI, NOV 8: One person died due to drowning in river Brahmaputra while taking Ganga bath on the occasion of Kartik purnima in upper Assam Dibrugarh on Tuesday.
The deceased have been identified as Mithu Basfor(48), resident of New market Harijan coloney, Dibrugarh.
Another Mantu Basfor was rescued by local and rushed him to AMCH for treatment.
The incident took place in the river bank near SP office in Dibrugarh.
“The body of Mithu Basfor was recovered from river Brahmaputra by SDRF team. He drowned in the river this morning while taking bath,” said Deepjyoti Hatikakoti, Dibrugarh district project officer of ASDMA.
