Mr. Naman Jain is a young educator, education policy expert, and progressive pedagogy specialist. The experience and exposure during his higher studies ignited the philosopher in him and his astute observations of the state of education globally altered his own perspectives on education. Education cannot be a short-term event, he realized. Education is a lifelong treasure that prepares an individual holistically for the path ahead. The Movie ‘Swades’ came to life when he leave behind his high paying job abroad and came back to India with a vision to transform the Indian education sector and introduce relevant global standards of K-12 education to students of his home state – Uttar Pradesh.
With the mission to make progressive learning the next norm for the Indian education system, Naman has been working on the Big Idea to ensure learning experiences leading to development of skills and competencies and help all the stakeholders and society to realise that the purpose of education has to be to meet the purpose of life. His experience and exposure to some of the best education economies in the world led him to reinvent the way he can make technology accessible yet affordable for parents and students at school. After a long learning and unlearning journey, he introduced the concept of progressive learning in the NCR region at SLPS with a focus on futuristic technologies.
As technologies play a vital role in experiential learning at the foundation stage, he has equipped his students with AI, code learning, 3d modelling, virtual computer labs and a plethora of innovations that are so far the monopoly of expensive international schools in India. As an Education Policy and Progressive Pedagogy Expert, he is leading the task of nurturing the future generation at SLPS so that they can reap the rich dividends of progressive and experiential education. With 25 years of legacy, the institution is well recognised in the region but the challenge was to strongly position the brand as one of the top institutes and create a differentiator to win the confidence of parents and the student community. In a short span of three years, he successfully managed to ensure 100% admissions with the highest brand recall as NCR’s No. 1 institute for progressive learning and experiential education.
In recognition of the role played by schools in achieving tech integration for learning during the pandemic, Silverline Prestige School has become National Capital Region’s first Google Reference School. The award by Google recognises the efforts undertaken by the school for the best integration of Google’s tools and technologies for learning with a focus on empowering students and teachers to become confident and responsible users of modern technology.
Today, SLPS has become Ghaziabad’s first school to introduce a dedicated department for skill development and capacity building. The school has also achieved 98% parent satisfaction since the beginning of the pandemic and has made a mark in skill-oriented education by collaborating with global experts from various centres of technology excellence including NASA. The school has also taken a lead in introducing frugal tech innovations. Even before the pandemic outbreak in India, Naman introduced google technologies at SLPS so as to enhance parents-teacher engagement. Apart from being a passionate educator, Naman is also tremendously dedicated to the awareness of breast cancer.
