Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday asserted that no stone will be left unturned in helping the people affected in Cyclone Amphan, a day after the storm killed 72 people in West Bengal. The cyclone left a trail of destruction in its wake in the state as it was one of the most powerful cyclones in over a decade.
In a series of tweets, PM Modi said that in this challenging hour, the entire nation stands in solidarity with West Bengal. He prayed for the well-being of the people of the state, adding that efforts are on to ensure normalcy.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, PM Modi said, “Have been seeing visuals from West Bengal on the devastation caused by Cyclone Amphan. In this challenging hour, the entire nation stands in solidarity with West Bengal. Praying for the well-being of the people of the state. Efforts are on to ensure normalcy.”
